COVID-19 Vaccine
A:
If your site does not normally administer immunizations but wants to administer COVID-19 only, please review the following guidance in detail to see if your site qualifies: Guidance on COVID-19 vaccine management and administration for vaccine providers

Please monitor COVID-19 Vaccine in Massachusetts | Mass.gov webpage for updates to the COVID-19 Vaccine Plan.

Please reach out to the following email with additional questions concerns about prioritization: covid-19-vaccine-plan-ma@mass.gov

A:
All sites who administer any immunizations (privately purchased or state funded, routine, non-routine, flu, COVID-19 etc…) in the state of Massachusetts are mandated by law to register with and report immunization data to the MIIS. If the site does not administer ANY immunizations themselves and is using the federal pharmacy program for COVID-19 – then they do not need to register and report to the MIIS. If the site administers any immunizations not being administered by a pharmacy partner, they will need to register and report those vaccines to the MIIS.
Onboarding
A:
The first step to onboarding is to register yourself and your organization with the MIIS. Once your account is created, you will have login access to the MIIS application and can submit an onboarding request directly through the application. The request will then be reviewed, and your organization will be placed in queue. Once a resource is available to begin onboarding your organization, the clinical champion (you indicated on your request) will receive an MIIS kick off email to begin the process.
